As we welcome 2025, I’m excited to share my goals and how I plan to take my journey to the next level. This year, I’m focusing on giving back to the indie dev community, sharing more valuable content through my YouTube channel and socials, and working towards releasing a demo for my survival horror game, Silent Corruption!

To reflect this shift, I’ve updated my online presence. I’ve changed my handles from @VioletBeamGames to @IndieDevGael and given my profile picture a fresh update. While these changes might seem new, rest assured, it’s still me, just with a fresh start and a renewed purpose for the year ahead!

Making an indie game solo can be a daunting task. I know because I’ve been there. The feeling of being lost, unsure where to turn for guidance, and wondering if I’m making the right choices. As I’ve navigated this journey, I’ve learned valuable lessons and insights that I wish I had when I first started. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping other indie devs who are facing the same struggles.

On my YouTube channel and through my social media, I share the ups and downs of my own game development journey. From technical challenges to creative roadblocks, I aim to provide the support I once lacked. Whether you’re just starting or have been working on your project for a while, I’m here to help you stay motivated and finish what you started.

Silent Corruption: A Survival Horror with a Twist

Alongside my mission to support fellow devs, I’m working tirelessly on my survival horror game, Silent Corruption. Inspired by the classic 90s horror games I grew up with, but with a modern twist, this game is shaping up to be something special. It’s been a thrilling (and at times terrifying) experience to bring my vision to life, and I can’t wait to share more about it with you all!

This year, I’m aiming to release a demo, which will give everyone a taste of the world I’ve been building. I want you to experience the atmosphere, the tension, and the unsettling feeling that only a great survival horror game can provide.
